The Canadian Government has issued a sponsorship program for Canadians and Permanent residents to sponsor their dependent children. The child must meet the criteria of a dependent child for this program.
The child can be either biological or adopted children of Canadian or permanent resident. They are eligible dependents so long as they are under the age of 22, unmarried, not in a common-law relationship. The requirements to sponsor a dependent or child are-
1. Sponsor must be Canadian or permanent resident in Canada
2. At least 18 years old
3. Proof of funds to support the cost of living of the dependent
4. No past criminal or police records
